The site inspection app for schools and colleges

SiteSnag is a site inspection app for school business managers, site managers and premises teams. It includes a safety walk for the whole site, from the boundary fence and playground to fire safety and the kitchen, and a classroom check. Each finding is a photo with built-in wording, and the walk ends with a School Site Inspection Report.

Why SiteSnag

Built for education inspections done on a phone.

Site walks recorded on a paper form that lives in a folder in the office.

Every finding is a photo and a save, filed under the classroom, corridor or playground you’re standing in. The report is ready by the time you’re back at reception.

Jobs passed to the premises team by word of mouth and then forgotten.

Each finding names who’s responsible, from the premises team to grounds maintenance. The report can group findings by person or team, which gives everyone their own list.

Generic forms that don’t know what a looped blind cord or an unlocked chemical store is.

Built-in wording covers the issues schools come across, including hot water that’s too hot at a basin. Pick one and the description is written for you.

No record that the head teacher saw what the site walk found.

The head teacher or business manager can sign on screen next to the inspector, and both signatures go into the School Site Inspection Report.

Built-in checklists

School site safety walk and Classroom check, ready on day one.

These are the checklists SiteSnag adds when you choose education. Tick them on your phone with pass or fail, yes or no, readings and condition ratings, and they go straight into the PDF. Edit them or build your own.

FAQ

Education questions.

Does it work in the boiler room or on the playing field without wi-fi?

Yes. SiteSnag saves everything on the phone and doesn’t need an account, so it works the same in a plant room, a mobile classroom or the far end of the field. The report is put together offline as well. You only need a connection when you send the PDF.

Can I add our own weekly or termly checks?

You can build your own checklist with yes/no, number and condition answers. That suits a weekly fire alarm test record, a PE equipment check or the water temperature at each basin. Your checklists sit next to the built-in site safety walk and classroom check, and the answers go into the PDF.

Can I share the report with governors or the trust?

The School Site Inspection Report is a PDF with your school’s logo and colours, sent from the phone through the share sheet by email or any other app. You choose one of four styles and how many photos appear for each finding. Past reports stay with each inspection, so earlier site walks are easy to find.

Can I record a problem without typing?

Dictation turns speech into text in any field as you talk, which is quicker when you’re walking the site with a radio in one hand. SiteSnag doesn’t store voice recordings. On supported phones, Pro can also draft the wording of findings and the conclusion on the device.
