Site Audit Pro alternative
SiteSnag is a Site Audit Pro alternative built for UK snagging inspectors and residential surveyors. It holds several photos per snag without a subscription, works the same on Android and comes with 460+ UK defects, but it has no laptop editor or team plan. SiteSnag is our app, so weigh what follows with that in mind.

What Site Audit Pro does well
Site Audit Pro, from Veam Studios, is the best-known snagging and audit app on the UK App Store, with 4.8 stars from around 23,000 ratings. Reviewers praise quick capture and clean PDFs that are small enough to email, and they often mention support replying by name.
Recent releases have added an iOS 26 redesign, priorities, saved client and assignee lists, and summaries. The Cloud subscription adds a web app, so you can capture on site and finish the write-up on a laptop, and larger firms can buy team and enterprise seats.
Where SiteSnag is different
More than one photo per snag, without a subscription
The base Site Audit Pro app stores one photo per issue. Multiple photos, sync, folders and due dates come with Cloud, which costs £6.99 a month or £59.99 a year after the £12.90 app purchase. It is the complaint reviewers raise most, often because they found the limit after paying. In SiteSnag every snag can hold as many photos as you need, you can pick up to 20 from your library at once, and you can move them left or right to set the order in the report.
The same app on Android
Site Audit Pro has 4.8 stars on iOS and 3.6 on Google Play from about 767 reviews, and Android reviewers mention missing features and ask why they pay the same price. SiteSnag runs the same code on iPhone, iPad and Android, so the camera, library, floor plans and report settings work the same way on each. The home screen widget is the one iPhone and iPad extra.
Wording that already exists
Site Audit Pro is a general audit tool used for safety checks and punch lists as well as snagging, so you write your own findings. SiteSnag comes with 460+ common UK defects, each with a description, severity and trade, and most with an NHBC chapter, Approved Document or BS 7671 reference. Start typing in the camera and matching defects appear, and picking one fills in the rest. You can edit any of them or add your own.
Floor plan pins and re-inspections
You can draw a plan by tapping room corners or import an image of one, then pin each snag to it. The numbered pins appear on the plan in the PDF, which saves writing “see photo 3” in your notes. When you go back to check the builder’s work, a re-inspection visit marks each snag as fixed, partly fixed or not fixed and can add that history to the report.
No account and no upfront charge
SiteSnag keeps your surveys in a database on your phone, has no login and works with no signal at all. Your first survey is free, PDF included, so you can test it on a real job before paying. Pro is £4.99 a month, £49.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or £149.99 once. Pro adds unlimited surveys, automatic backup to iCloud or Google Drive, on-device AI wording on supported phones and a report without the SiteSnag line. See pricing for the full list.

Who should stay with Site Audit Pro
In these cases switching would be a step backwards.
- If you finish reports on a laptop, Site Audit Pro Cloud has a web app and SiteSnag has no desktop or web editor. Everything in SiteSnag happens on the phone or tablet.
- If several inspectors share projects, Site Audit Pro offers team seats. SiteSnag has no team plan and each copy of the app works on its own.
- If you need Word or Excel output, SiteSnag only produces PDF reports.
- If you have hundreds of issues that you reorder and renumber, Site Audit Pro Cloud added bulk renumbering in 2026. SiteSnag keeps snags in the order you add them, though the report can sort and group them by area, severity, trade or status.
- If you audit more than homes (health and safety, retail or facilities), a general tool is a better fit than a snagging app.
SiteSnag fits a sole inspector or surveyor who wants several photos per snag, UK wording and a finished report on site, all from the phone.
How to switch
- Finish any open jobs in Site Audit Pro. There is no import from Site Audit Pro into SiteSnag, so in-progress projects stay where they are.
- Keep the PDFs you have already sent, since they are your record of past work.
- Install SiteSnag and set up your logo, accent colour and report style once. If you prefer “defect” to “snag” or “area” to “room”, rename the terms and the PDF follows.
- Add any stock phrases you used often to the defect library so they come up as you type.
- Run your next real job on the free survey and compare the report with what you send today.

Questions
Is there a free version of Site Audit Pro?
Not on the UK App Store when we checked in October 2026. The app costs £12.90 up front on iPhone and on Google Play, and the Cloud subscription is extra. SiteSnag is free to download and the first survey, including its PDF report, costs nothing.
Can I use SiteSnag on Android?
Yes. The Android version has the same capture camera, defect library, floor plans and report designer as the iPhone and iPad versions. The home screen widget is the one thing that only exists on iPhone and iPad.
Does SiteSnag have a desktop version like Site Audit Pro Cloud?
No. You write the survey and send the report from your phone or tablet, and there is no web or Windows editor. If typing up on a laptop is part of how you work, Site Audit Pro Cloud does that and SiteSnag does not.
Can I import my Site Audit Pro projects into SiteSnag?
SiteSnag can’t import Site Audit Pro projects. Keep your finished reports as PDFs and start new jobs in SiteSnag, and add any custom wording you rely on to the SiteSnag defect library by hand.
