Why SiteSnag

Built for property management inspections done on a phone.

Inspection notes written on paper and typed up at the office, with photos that never quite match.

Each issue is a photo and a save, filed under the room you’re standing in. The PDF puts the photos beside the wording, so there’s no write-up waiting for you.

Deposit disputes that come down to a vague note about a mark on the carpet.

Add as many photos to an issue as you need and draw arrows, circles or measurements on them. Numbered pins on the floor plan show exactly where each one is.

Generic form apps where every inspector describes damp and damage in their own words.

Built-in wording covers tenancy issues from tenant damage to missing carbon monoxide alarms. Start typing a title and SiteSnag suggests the description and the contractor.

Cloud apps that stall in a basement flat or a rural let with no signal.

Everything is stored on the phone and there’s no account to sign in to, so a lost signal doesn’t stop the inspection. Pro backs it up to your own iCloud or Google Drive.

Built-in checklists

Periodic property inspection and Check-out inspection, ready on day one.

These are the checklists SiteSnag adds when you choose property management. Tick them on your phone with pass or fail, yes or no, readings and condition ratings, and they go straight into the PDF. Edit them or build your own.

FAQ

Property management questions.

Can tenants sign the inspection report on site?

Yes. The tenant and the inspector can both sign on the phone or tablet screen, and the signatures go straight into the PDF. The cover page names the inspector and the tenant separately. You then send the report from the share sheet by email, WhatsApp or whichever app you already use with tenants.

Can I use my own inspection checklist?

You can build your own checklist with yes/no, number and condition answers and keep it next to the built-in periodic and check-out checklists. Number answers suit meter readings and key counts, while condition answers work well for a room-by-room record of decoration and flooring. Your checklists are there for every property you inspect.

Can I track which issues the contractor has dealt with?

Turn on Record status in Settings and you can set each issue by hand to a status such as In progress, Fixed or Verified. The report can sort and group issues by status, which shows the landlord what is still outstanding. Photos can be added to an issue at any time, and the report can be generated again whenever you need an updated copy.

Can I put my agency’s logo on the report?

The PDF takes your logo and accent colour, and there are four report styles and three fonts to choose from. You can rename terms such as Tenant or Contractor to match how your agency writes, and the new wording carries into the report. Removing the small SiteSnag line from the PDF needs Pro.
