Terms of use
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the SiteSnag app on iPhone, iPad or Android (“the app”) and the getsitesnag.com website (“the website”). Please read them before using either. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
SiteSnag is provided by CodeByTwo Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13489145), whose registered office is at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@getsitesnag.com.
2. What SiteSnag is
SiteSnag is a tool for recording defects, checklists, floor plans, photos and signatures during property inspections, and for producing reports from them. It is a recording and reporting tool. It does not inspect a property, give professional advice or decide whether anything is a defect. That judgement, and the content of every report, is yours.
3. Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from (the Apple Media Services Terms or the Google Play Terms of Service). You may use the app for your own business or personal purposes, including producing reports for your clients.
You must not:
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it;
- use the app for anything unlawful, or to record information you have no right to record;
- remove or hide our copyright or trade mark notices; or
- try to get around the limits of the free plan or Pro, or interfere with the app’s security.
4. Free and Pro
The free version includes every feature for one survey, and reports made with it carry a small “Made with SiteSnag” line. SiteSnag Pro adds unlimited surveys and images, automatic backup, restore and import, reports without our branding and, on supported devices, AI report writing. Details and prices are shown in the app before you buy.
Subscriptions
- Pro is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-off lifetime purchase, through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store takes the payment and its terms apply to it.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the price then shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel at any time in your Apple or Google account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If a free trial is offered, you will be charged when it ends unless you cancel before then. Any unused part of a trial ends if you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected. Where you buy digital content, you agree that it is supplied straight away, so the 14-day cancellation period for digital content ends when you start using it.
- Lifetime means Pro for as long as we offer the app on your platform. It is not a subscription and does not renew. “Limited-time offer” means we may stop selling it or change its price for new buyers.
- We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you in advance and you can cancel before the new price applies.
5. Your content
Everything you create in the app (surveys, photos, notes, plans, signatures, reports and your company details) is yours. It is stored on your device, and in your own iCloud or Google Drive if you use backup. We do not have access to it and do not claim any rights over it. See our privacy policy for details.
Because your content lives on your devices and in your accounts, you are responsible for keeping it safe. That includes backing it up and keeping copies of reports you have sent. We are not responsible for content lost because a device is lost, damaged or reset, or because a backup was switched off or not completed.
You are responsible for having the right to record what you photograph, record and dictate, and for handling your clients’ personal information lawfully, including under UK data protection law where it applies to you.
6. The defect library, checklists and AI writing
The app includes ready-written defect descriptions, references to standards such as the NHBC Standards, and checklists. On supported devices, Pro can also draft findings and a conclusion from your survey using the device’s own AI model. All of this is a starting point to save you time. It may be incomplete, out of date or wrong for a particular property. Check and edit all wording before you put your name to a report. References to third-party standards do not mean those organisations endorse SiteSnag.
7. Reports and professional responsibility
You decide what goes into every report and you are responsible for it, including its accuracy, its suitability for your client and any professional duties you owe (for example, to RICS, the RPSA or your insurer). Your relationship with your clients is between you and them.
8. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the app reliable and we update it regularly. We may change, add or remove features, and we cannot promise the app will always be available, free of errors or compatible with every device or operating system version. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you and you may be entitled to a refund under consumer law.
9. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. If you are a consumer, you also have legal rights in relation to digital content that is not as described, not fit for purpose or not of satisfactory quality, and these terms do not affect them.
Subject to that:
- If you use the app for business, we are not liable for loss of profits, income, business, contracts, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- We are not liable for the content of your reports, for decisions made on them, or for losses caused by relying on library wording or AI drafts without checking them.
- Our total liability to you for anything arising from the app or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for SiteSnag in the 12 months before the claim, or £100 if that is greater.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Remember to cancel any subscription in your store account. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we do, sections 5, 7, 9 and 12 continue to apply.
11. The website
You may use the website to find out about SiteSnag and to contact us. Information on it is general and may change. Our privacy policy explains what information the website collects.
12. General
- We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell you in the app about important changes.
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the app or its support.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
